INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA ACCORDING TO THE EU REGULATION 2016/679 (“RGPD”)

Pursuant to article 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679, concerning the protection of subjects with regards to the processing of their personal data, and the free circulation of such data, the website users are informed that the processing of data - directly provided through the web portal, or otherwise acquired, in order to benefit from the services provided - is managed by the Italian Trade Agency – Houston Office – 777 Post Oak Blvd, Ste 320 – Houston – TX – 77056 – US – hereinafter ITA, as Data Controller, and it is aimed solely at carrying out the activities related to the management of institutional communications, including sending email messages and newsletters to the email addresses supplied at the time of the registration on the website.

The Data Protection Officer may be contacted to this email address:houston@ice.it. The processing of personal data is carried out by automated procedures, and in the manners and within the limits of pursuing the aforementioned objectives, ensuring the security and privacy of the data.

The personal data supplied during the registration on the website or through direct contact with ITA associates (name, last name, phone contact, email address and so forth) are used by the email communication services. Such data may be used also for the purpose of sending institutional communications not strictly connected to the service for which the registration was originally made, yet compatible with the purpose of the service. The users may, at any time, request the cancellation from the services of email communication, therefore all personal data will be stored for the entire duration of the service. The data will be processed by specifically trained ITA’s associates, who will be authorized to treat the data based on principles of fairness, legality, transparency, relevance and non-excess in relation to the purpose of collection and subsequent processing. The collected data will not be communicated to third parties, except when they may be shared with parties involved in the activities’ management process, specifically nominated and designated as Data Processors.

Pursuing article 15 and subsequent articles of the EU Regulation 2016/679, the data subject may, at any time, exercise his/her own rights, particularly the right to access personal data, to request data to be limited, rectified, or updated if incomplete or incorrect, or to be cancelled if gathered in violation of the law, and to make opposition to the data use unless the Data Collector has legitimate reasons otherwise. Furthermore, the Data Collector has the right to portability , i.e. the right to receive the personal data provided by the data subject in a format that is structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. For this purpose, the subject may address either the Data Collector or the Data Protection Officer .
